Now that the flowers are blooming, grass is growing and vacations are calling. It's time to think about overexposure to the ultraviolet radiation.

1. Stay out of the sun from 10am to 4pm if possible.
2. Wear a hat.
3. Find shaded areas to stand under. An umbrella is good for more than just rainy days.
4. Cover exposed skin with tight woven clothing. Hold material to sunlight to see what is shining through.
5. Use sun screen.
Give your purse or wallet a spring cleaning!
Many women cart around inflated purses. Are you one of them? Hefting a big purse around every day for ten years will ruin your posture and distress your spine. Eliminate all but the necessary items.
A good idea is to buy a smaller purse so you cannot possibly over-stuff it. At the very least you should carry your purse like a mailbag: over one shoulder, across the chest, and under the opposite arm. In the same spirit, sitting on a wallet for any length of time can create an unhealthy imbalance in your hips. Give your purse or wallet a spring cleaning often to save yourself future pain.
